The “Science and the response to climate change in Israel” Conference was held from 1–2 April 2012 at the Tel Aviv University. Aim of the conference was to review and bring to the attention of stakeholders and potential donors the key findings and tools (WEAP, GLOWA JR Atlas, Scenario Analysis) of the GLOWA JR project and to develop a concept for a regional centre for water and land management under global change that addresses the needs for climate change adaptation to include regional cooperation, filling research gaps, capacity development, and science-stakeholder dialogue.
Meetings similar to this one were held in March 2012 in Jordan and the Palestinian Authority.
